  21. InfoMiles is a comprehensive solution for tracking your electronic communications
  22. among the many on-ramps to todays hectic information superhighway.

  25. durations, file transfers, and costs from virtually any communication software
  26. program that maintains a usage log.  Stay on top of those monthly credit card

  85.  
  86. The software can be installed in 2 ways:
  87.  
  88.   - The easiest way is to run the INSTALL program from the directory
  89.     where it is located.  This will create a directory on your hard
  90.     disk, copy all necessary files and selected configurations and
  91.     create a desktop icon object if desired.
  92.  
  93.   - A manual installation can also be done as long as all files
  94.     required for program operation detailed above are present and
  95.     located in the same directory.

  99. 5. Getting started
  100.  
  101. If your communication software configuration was INCLUDED in this
  102. package:
  103.  
  104.   - Be sure the LOG FILE in SETUP is the same as your communication
  105.     software program.
  106.  
  107. If your software configuration was NOT included in this package, you
  108. will need to initially set up the following for each of your
  109. communication programs not included:
  110.  
  111.   - Required SETUP
  112.     - LOG FILE
  113.     - CONNECTIONS
  114.  
  115.   - Optional SETUP
  116.     - FILE TRANSFERS
  117.  
  118. If you wish to track costs:
  119.  
  120.   - Edit PROVIDER COSTS to reflect your providers.
  121.   - Add the services you wish to track costs for in SERVICE PROVIDERS.
  122.  
  123. Notes:
  124.  
  125.   - Be sure logging is turned ON in your communication software options or
  126.     setup.
  127.  
  128.   - When using different versions of communication programs, the format
  129.     of the usage log file MAY change between versions resulting in inaccurate
  130.     reports.  This problem can be overcome by inspecting the log file with a
  131.     text editor and splitting the log file into seperate files at the point
  132.     where the format changes.  Configurations can then be set up for each file.

  134.   - The provided logging utility, InfoLog, can be used to create usage logs for
  135.     communication programs that do not.  The default configuration template
  136.     INFOLOG.CFG can be used to read the log files generated by this utility.
